What We Dive

Types of Diving We Do

Whether you are just starting out or looking for your next big adventure, NWK has a dive trip for you.

Shore Dives

Shore dives are the backbone of UK diving and a brilliant way for newer divers to build experience. We regularly dive at accessible sites along the Kent and Sussex coasts - walking in from the beach, exploring rocky reefs, discovering marine life, and building confidence in open water. Shore dives are usually single-day trips that do not require a boat, making them easy to organise and great value.

Boat Dives

Boat diving opens up a world of sites you simply cannot reach from the shore. We charter boats to dive wrecks, reefs, and offshore features along the south coast and beyond. From the historic wrecks off the Kent coast to the famous dive sites around Dorset and Devon, boat diving is where the real adventure happens. Trips typically run on weekends, with early morning departures and two dives during the day.

Overseas Trips

Every year we organise at least one overseas diving trip to a warm water destination. Past trips have included the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, and other world-class diving locations. These are the highlights of the club calendar - a week of incredible diving, warm water, amazing visibility, and great company. Overseas trips are open to all qualified members and are a fantastic way to use your BSAC qualification in some of the best diving waters in the world.

Booking a Dive

How to Book a Dive Trip

Booking onto a club dive is simple. Here is how it works.
1

Check the Calendar

Browse the upcoming dives calendar to find a trip that suits your dates, location, and experience level. Each event listing includes full details of the site, date, meeting point, and qualification level required.

2

Log In to the Members Area

Head to the members area and log in with your account. You need to be a current NWK member to book onto club dives.

3

Sign Up for the Trip

Click on the dive event and follow the sign-up process. You will need to confirm your qualification level and any buddy preferences. Spaces are first come, first served — if a trip looks popular, get your name down early.

4

Pay Deposit or Fees

Most boat dives and overseas trips require a deposit or payment in advance. Shore dives are usually free or have minimal costs for shared fuel. The dive organiser will confirm what is needed.

5

Check Your Kit and Go Diving

Before the trip, check your equipment is serviced and ready. Make sure your cylinder is in test, your suit has no leaks, and your certification card is in your bag. Then turn up and enjoy the dive.
